One of the best known cocktail shakers in our country, Manuel Wauters of the SIPS in Antwerp, opened a brand new bistro bar in Kasterlee (Kempen): MILL HILL. The name refers to a monument (mill) nearby, which is now being restored.

Manuel Wauters started his career on the most luxurious cruise ship in the world, the Queen Elisabeth II. He opened SIPS in Antwerp, wrote several books about cocktails, and is regularly seen on Njam. Surrounded by his family, Manuel Wauters puts his shoulders under the former tavern 'Aan de Molen' that he transformed into Mill Hill: a "cross" between a country club, restaurant, wine and cocktail bar and gelateria ...

The VIP table in Mill Hill immediately catches the eye due to its playful form in combination with the timeless CH33P chairs by Carl Hansen & Son. Hans J Wegner designed the CH33 in 1957, but these were not put back on the market until 2012. The chair is a typical Wegner creation: light, elegant form, organic simplicity and softly rounded parts: a recognizable design language from the 50s and 60s.
