Hans J. Wegner at Milan Design Week 2026

During Milan Design Week 2026, the “Wegner apartment” received widespread acclaim, featuring several classics that were given a "trendy makeover” through their upholstery.

Iconic Designs: CH07 Shell Chair and CH30 Dining Chair

First, the CH07 SHELL CHAIR—a Wegner design from 1963 (which only went into production in the late 1990s)—was given a distinctive look with a fabric designed by Anni Albers (Dedar collection).

Second, the organic CH30 dining chair—a 1956 design by Hans J. Wegner—became very attractive with a striped fabric.

The CH290 Sofa Series with Dedar Upholstery

Also, the CH290 sofa series gained an attractive look thanks to its upholstery (Anni Albers, Dedar). The CH293 (three-seater) presented in Milan is a 1962 design by Hans J. Wegner, also upholstered with Dedar fabric by Anni Albers.
