Carl Hansen & Son introduces new leather colours on theColonial series by Danish modernist Ole Wanscher. These 4 new soft TERRA analine leather colours by Norm Architects give the Colonial collection a contemporary, timeless-modern elegance. This will be launched in October 2025 but the "selling in" - with interesting conditions - has started now.
The colour palette of TERRA analine leather by Sörensen ranges from light green, over greenish jade to earth tones. It adds modernity to the contemporary-classic Colonial series. The matt-soft Terra leather is OEKO-Tex certified and meets the highest environmental and health standards
Danish modernist Ole Wanscher
Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) is undoubtedly one of the founding fathers of Danish modernism. He studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and later worked in his design studio before becoming an independent furniture designer.
Wanscher is synonymous with high quality industrially produced furniture. He designed his most successful furniture between the late 1940s and early 1960s, in the post-war era when democratic design was booming.
Design experts (re)recognise Ole Wanscher's furniture as classically contemporary and timeless classics in the range of Danish modernist furniture.
